Im gonna start this one off with the punch line:

I have sometimes mistaken “things” as identifier’s rather than God as my identifier.
For example: I found myself looking to music to renew my mind and recreate my spirit more than i was looking to the Bible. This can be fine as long as the music is biblically sound, but its also very dangerous.
When a person writes music, its meant to relate and it can do so in an uplifting way.
But,
Its just not the equivalent of reading the Bible.
Even if you think you aren’t getting anything out of what your reading, your still getting Way more spiritual food
Than what you would have had,
had you not read the Bible at all.

You’ll find yourself being more You as you read His word.
(The Bible).
I want to talk about Gifts, because there are so many that we have been given that we dont even Recognize them. (As gifts)
For instance, the Gifts we’ve been given (I Think) should be seen as opportunities, given by God for us to steward. When your given an opportunity to do something like make music or play basketball, even talking to your Brother on the phone. These are all opportunities to use the gifts that God has given you,
What im saying is, its not just the skill that is the gift from God, but the time and opportunity to use the Skill for His Glory that is the Gift.
We have many God given Gifts that we need to use for his Glory, or we risk losing them. No presupposed meaning can describe bringing Glory to God.
Thats personal between you and God.
“For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”
matthew 13:12
If you have character more character will be given to you, if you are a good steward more stewardship will be given to you, If you are encouraging to others you will recieve more opportunities (gifts) to encourage and be encouraged
yourself.
Make choices that bring God Glory, for they are gifts as well.
Right now Is a Gift.
Right now Is an opportunity to do something well that brings God Glory.
It’s your opportunity. Right now.
Life. Is a Gift.
im just observing cause i think this may serve as a good reminder for anyone who might think that girls dont know EXACTLY what it is that your doing. So make sure its legitament.
Growing up, I played ALOT of video games. And one thing that I noticed was that after
I would beat a video game, I usually would not want to play it again. Because I had already beaten it. (kind of like when you watch a movie you’ve already seen a thousand times)
Consequently, I found that there were some games I didn’t want to finish,
because I knew that :
A. I wouldn’t Want to play them again. (I had already WON!
Whats the point?)
or
B. I wouldn’t be able to experience that part of the game again
(sometimes when you pass a level, it isn’t re-playable) and because its a game, this could be the most fun part of the whole Game.
(at least in my opinion)
But, Life ISN’T like that.
Life rewards Finishing.
The Journey is there for a very good reason, but so is the End of that Journey.
If there was no end to the journey, what would be the point of going on the journey?
If there is no finish line, why Race?
There is a Finish Line. And you are in a Race for it.
You are in a Race. Pray!! and Ask God for your vision and write it down.
You gotta know why your racing. What your prize is.

You know that song “Jesus take the wheel”?
What happens when He really does?
All you gotta do is operate the pedals.
Hit the gas or brake.
He’s a pretty amazing driver.
If you consistently ask God for zthings that will blow your mind,
he probably will blow your mind.
with His awesomeness. He gives better gifts.
Period.
“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered the heart of man,
the things which God hath prepared for those that love Him.”
1 Corinthians 2:9
“…neither have entered the heart of man,
the things which God hath prepared for those that love Him.“
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
That means all the Good things that God has prepared For You , if you love Him.
No one has ever thought of!
He has good things in store. And you just have to love Him!
Sounds pretty good me!
Beauty comes in many forms, many shapes and many sizes. This culture tries to define Beauty by marketing their definitions of what beauty really is. The thing is beauty is not something we came up with.
Culture did not come before the people. The egg did not lay the chicken and so on… God made Man in his image.
Genesis 1:27
“So God made Man in his Own Image, in the image of God created he him,
Male and Female created he them.”
Psalm 139:14
“I will give thanks unto thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Wonderful are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well.”
Heres the point. God made Men and Women in His Image. His design.
And for His purpose. You are called to something more than just what you do. You are called to fulfill a purpose that is greater than anything this culture can come up with. Because your calling is from God. Not the culture that you live in.
Jesus modeled this, being Both fully God and fully man. Living His every moment knowing he was the Son of God. His actions were all with you in mind, not Himself.
John 11:35 “Jesus wept.” John 11:36 “Then said the Jews, behold How he loved Him!”
As Christians, we are called to be like Christ.
And I believe a big part of that, Is thinking of others more,
being humble.
And working to do things that you do excellently.
To the Glory of God.
1st peter 2:9 says “but ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people that ye may show forth the praises of Him who called you out of darkness and into his marvellous light.” KJV
What I begin to realize is that the times when im thinking about myself are the times when im the most insecure. Its when I put myself before others that I stumble. And I find there’s even times when i think im being humble by degrading myself when im actually doing just the opposite.
C.S. Lewis said it best “humility is not thinking Less of yourself but thinking of yourself less”
Your Beautiful. So stop worrying about it.
I feel like im preaching to the choir here but it needs to be written.
Self degradation is self degradation. Not humility.

turning eighteen changes you. it changes the way you see the day light and the way you see the world. instead of being completely and wholly under your Parents, you aren’t. you still Honor and Respect them. but they’e not the ones that are entirely responsible for your safety anymore. that is now more lop-sided in your direction. You are a Legal Adult. capable of making your own Decisions in the eyes of the World. In my eyes, I was always capable. I was. but now I’m expected to be capable. that’s the real difference that I’ve noticed. It’s not that you couldn’t then, its just the difference of perspective, where as before people thought i was at least 18 or at least 21, when in reality I was 14,15 or 16 years old.
So now, its a little different. Now you enter this sort of middle ground, where people either think your younger than you are, or think you’re way older than you really are (sorry Laura!)
Its like you almost have to construct the image, how you want to appear.
Its just like before.
Only now you’ve had your practice, its time to actually Live and then you realize that you were living then as well. and that all the stress and competition for “who could act the most grown up” really never had a place except in situations where a more grown up perspective was required
(as in the case of manners)
Now it has shifted. From trying to stretch and grow up in order to be on a “peer to peer” level with your superiors (the grown ups), to “how do I raise a family?” and “what can I do to raise my social status amongst my new peers? I.e. The world? Well God is the one that matters, as far as status is concerned.
But other questions arrise, like:
how can I afford to raise a family? how can I afford to take care of myself? be independent? what Job should I be searching for?
is the Rat race real? how do i apply the 4 hour work week and rich Dad poor Dad in unison in order to help me get out of the rat race? am I already in it? and before all that, I need to have my own car, and be able to pay for my own Gas. time to find the Income.
do you see what I’m getting at? part of the reason why High-School seems so important is because you realize, either consciously or subconsciously, that there is a slight possibility of not ever seeing these people again after High school, the (if I don’t make it, I’ll work so hard that I won’t have any time to hang out)thought. not sure how prevalent that one is , but you can’t get there before you leave. sometimes the Biggest step you can take is your First. cause after that one you have momentum, energy in motion that you can direct to save lives, possibly your own.
So find your direction, Take your first step!

it feels like Im grabbing onto everything but the one thing. the only things that never moves. Jesus. NEVER. SHAKES. He is the ROCK.
what I’m looking for here is a more practical way, a way of saying( )
a way of knowing that you Love, an Understanding of Jesus Christ, where I stop trusting my self for the answer to the problem that I can’t solve, and trust
Jesus Christ, DONT SLOW DOWN God is paving the way for you as you drive, all you gotta do is keep the ACCELERATOR HELD DOWN.
you will SURVIVE BECAUSE OF CHRIST IN YOU.
